Iman Ali was born in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. She is the daughter of television/film actor Abid Ali and his first wife, Humaira Ali. She has two younger sisters, Maryam and Raimah Ali. Her parents divorced when she was young and Ali has confessed to having a 'distant' relationship with her father.
